Quick answer

A custom point-of-sale app can be built and taking sales in 21 days from a fixed $1,999, covering a fast checkout screen, card and cash payment, digital receipts, stock deduction, staff accounts and daily reporting. Certified payment-terminal integration depends on your provider and is confirmed before quoting.

The plan

Day one to day 21, written down.

You get this schedule before you commit, not after. If a phase slips, that is mine to absorb — the price and the date were agreed before anything started.

  1. 1

    Days 1–3

    Scope the counter

What you sell, how fast, and what happens on a busy Saturday. Plus your payment provider, which determines what hardware is possible.

  2. 2

    Days 4–9

    Design

The checkout screen and nothing else, until it is fast. Everything else in a POS is secondary to how many seconds a sale takes.

  3. 3

    Days 10–16

    Build

Catalogue, checkout, payments, stock deduction and reporting. Offline-capable, because a till that stops when the internet does is not a till.

  4. 4

    Days 17–19

    Trade with it

Real sales on a real counter alongside the current system. Speed problems and missing steps appear immediately under actual pressure.

  5. 5

    Days 20–21

    Launch

Live, staff trained, opening float set, and the old system switched off.

What from $1,999 gets you

Everything needed to launch — nothing padding the invoice.

A checkout screen built for speed — search, favourites, one-tap items
Card payments via a supported provider, plus cash with change calculation
Digital receipts by email or SMS, and printed where you have a printer
Automatic stock deduction on every sale
Discounts, refunds and returns, with a reason recorded
Staff accounts, permissions and per-staff sales reporting
Daily close: takings, payment breakdown, variance against the drawer
Source code, design files and 30 days of support at handover

Who books this

Built for

Retailers whose POS costs more per month than it earns them

Businesses selling in a way no standard till supports

Market traders and pop-ups who need a till on a phone, not a terminal

The honest part

When 21 days is the wrong answer.

A fixed deadline only works when the scope genuinely fits inside it. These are the cases where I will tell you so rather than take the booking.

Building our own certified payment terminal integration from scratch. Card-present certification is a long compliance process — I integrate a provider that already holds it.

Full accounting, payroll and tax filing. Sales reporting fits and exports cleanly; being your accounting system does not.

Enterprise chains with hundreds of tills and complex franchise reporting, which deserves a larger, properly scoped project.

Questions

Before you book

For many businesses you should not, and I will tell you on the call. Building wins when monthly per-till fees across several locations have passed the cost of a build, or when how you sell genuinely does not fit a standard till.

21 days from now, this could be live.

A 30-minute call decides whether the scope fits. If it doesn't, I'll tell you what would.
