Design for cybersecurity companies
Websites and product design for cybersecurity companies
For security vendors selling to people paid to be sceptical: a site that makes claims a CISO can check, and a product console that puts the alert that matters first. Fixed price, live in weeks.

The problem I solve
- ✕A homepage of shields, padlocks and "next-gen" that says nothing a security buyer can check
- ✕A console that buries the one alert that matters under hundreds that do not
- ✕Security questionnaires answered by email because there is no trust page to point at
Quick answer
A cybersecurity website has to survive a sceptical buyer: specific claims about what you protect and how, backed by documentation and certifications you hold, plus a trust page and a security.txt file. A landing page is $700 and a full site $1,999, at a fixed price.
How I approach it
Security buyers are professionally sceptical, and every claim they cannot verify counts against you. So the site I build says plainly what you protect, against what, for whom, how it is deployed and what it integrates with, and then backs each point with something checkable: documentation, architecture, the certifications you actually hold.
The trust signals are part of the design, not an afterthought. A security or trust page lists your certifications and how to request reports, a vulnerability disclosure policy says how researchers should reach you, and a security.txt file sits at /.well-known/security.txt in the format RFC 9116 defines, with the Contact and Expires fields it requires. A security company without one gets noticed by exactly the people it is selling to.
On the product side, I design consoles for the analyst triaging at the worst possible moment: severity first, clear states, fast paths from alert to evidence to action, and status that never relies on colour alone, as WCAG 2.1 requires. Public sector buyers often ask about Section 508, whose standards incorporate WCAG 2.0 AA; I design to WCAG 2.1 AA, which includes it.

Common questions

A landing page is $700 and a full marketing site is $1,999 on my 14-day website sprint, agreed as a fixed price before work starts. Product design for a console is a separate $1,999, 14-day sprint.
Yes. RFC 9116 defines it: a plain text file at /.well-known/security.txt that tells researchers how to report vulnerabilities. Contact and Expires are required, and the Expires date is recommended to be less than a year ahead, so it needs a reminder to renew.
Yes. The product design sprint covers every screen, including empty, loading and error states, with a component library and a clickable prototype for your developers, for $1,999 in 14 days. If you need it built too, the web app sprint starts from $1,999.
What you protect, against what, for which kind of team, how it is deployed and what it works with, in that order. Then proof a buyer can check. Fear-based copy and stock imagery of hooded hackers work against you with security professionals.
