Quick answer: Send a brief or book a 30-minute call, and you get a scope, a timeline and a fixed quote within 24 hours. Once the scope and price are agreed in writing, work starts within a day. I design and build it myself, you review as it takes shape, and at launch you get the code and design files. The price does not move.
The five steps
- Get in touch (day 0). Book a 30-minute call in my calendar, or send a couple of lines about what you are building. Either way, you get a reply within 24 hours with a scope, a timeline and a fixed quote.
- Agree the scope and price (before any work). The scope, the number and what is included are written down before work starts. That document is the agreement. The split between the deposit and the balance is agreed at the same time.
- Kick off (within 24 hours). Once the scope is locked, design starts within a day. If you are booking a sprint, its day-by-day plan starts here.
- Design and build (most of the sprint). I design it and I build it, so nothing is lost in a handoff between two people. You see the work early and often, and ordinary feedback and revisions are part of the price.
- Launch and hand over (the last days). Testing, launch on your domain, and the full code and design files handed to you, with no lock-in. Most sprints include 30 days of support after launch; each sprint page says whether yours does.
What a sprint looks like, day by day
Most work is booked as a fixed-scope sprint. There are 45, from a 5-day landing page to a 30-day MVP, and each one publishes its plan. This is the website in 14 days sprint, $1,999 fixed:
| When | What happens |
|---|---|
| Days 1 to 2 | Brief and structure. What the site has to prove, to whom, and in what order. Sitemap and page structure agreed before any visual work. |
| Days 3 to 7 | Design. Every page designed and reviewed. You see the homepage within about three days, so direction gets settled early. |
| Days 8 to 12 | Build. Custom-coded, responsive, fast. A staging URL goes up early so you review the real thing rather than a picture of it. |
| Days 13 to 14 | Launch. Performance and SEO checks, domain connected, analytics on, and live. |
Every sprint is listed with its price and plan on Ship It Live.
What is fixed, and what is not
| Item | How it works | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| The price | Fixed, agreed in writing before work starts | If it takes me longer than I planned, that is mine to absorb |
| The scope | Written down with the price | Anything genuinely new is discussed and priced before it is built, never added to an invoice |
| Revisions | Ordinary feedback and revisions are included | A new section, a second language or an unplanned feature is new scope |
| The timeline | Agreed before work starts | Each sprint publishes its day-by-day plan |
| Hourly billing | Never | There is no meter, and questions cost nothing |
Why I work this way, and when a fixed price is the wrong model, is on no hourly rates.
How payment works
A portion of the fixed price is paid up front and the balance on delivery. The split is agreed with the scope, before you commit to anything, and the total never changes because the work took longer than I expected. Ongoing work runs as a monthly partnership instead: a flat $2,500 a month, one request at a time, paused or cancelled monthly.
What I need from you
- One decision-maker. Someone who can approve the design quickly, so reviews do not stall the timeline.
- What you already have. Logo, brand colours, copy, product screenshots and any site or app being replaced. Gaps are fine; they are part of the scope conversation.
- Access when it is needed. The domain, hosting or app store accounts at launch, so the work goes live under your name.
When the scope is not clear yet
A fixed price only works when the scope is knowable. If you are not sure what you are building, no honest person can put a number on it, so we scope it first as a small paid piece of work and then quote the build properly. The product discovery in 5 days sprint, $700, exists for exactly this. If you have a product already and want to know what to fix first, a UX audit takes 3 days for $499.
Ways to work together
| Option | Price | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| UX audit | $499, 3 days | Finding what to fix in a site or app you already have |
| A fixed-scope sprint | From $700 | A defined piece of work: a landing page, a website, an MVP, an app |
| Monthly partner | $2,500 a month | Continuous design and development without a hire |
Questions about the process
How quickly will I hear back?
Within 24 hours of a brief or a call, with a scope, a timeline and a fixed quote. You can also book a 30-minute intro call directly in my calendar.
Do you charge by the hour?
No. Every project is a fixed price agreed in writing before work starts, and the monthly partnership is a flat monthly fee. If the work takes longer than I planned, the price does not change.
Do you take a deposit?
Yes, a portion up front and the balance on delivery, agreed as part of the same fixed number. The split is discussed before you commit to anything.
How soon can work start?
Within 24 hours of agreeing the scope. Each sprint then follows its published day-by-day plan, from 5 days for a landing page to 30 days for an MVP or a mobile app.
Who actually does the work?
I do. I design it and I build it, so the person you agree the scope with is the person who delivers it.
What if I want changes halfway through?
Ordinary feedback and revisions are already in the price. If you want something genuinely outside what we agreed, I will say so directly and we agree a new number before I build it.
Do I own the code and designs?
Yes. You receive the full code and design files at handover, with no lock-in, so you or any future developer can carry on from there.
What if I do not know exactly what I need yet?
Then a fixed quote would be a guess. We scope it first as a small paid piece of work, such as the 5-day product discovery sprint for $700, and I quote the build once it is clear.
