Quick answer

Squarespace is the quicker all-in-one: templates, a store and scheduling, from $12 a month billed yearly. Webflow gives designers precise control and a stronger CMS, $25 a month for a CMS site billed yearly. Choose Squarespace for a tidy small-business site fast; choose Webflow when the design and content structure have to be custom.

Webflow and Squarespace both build and host sites without code, but for different people. Squarespace is template-led and bundles commerce, scheduling and email for small businesses. Webflow is a designer's tool: layouts, interactions and content structure are built exactly as you want them.

When I checked, Squarespace was $12 a month on Basic, $17 on Core and $25 on Advanced, billed yearly (28 October 2026), and Webflow was $15 on Basic without a CMS and $25 on Premium with it, billed yearly (29 October 2026).

Choose Webflow if…

  • The site needs a custom design, not a template
  • Your content has structure: case studies, team, resources
  • A designer or agency will build it
  • You expect the site to grow into dozens of pages

Choose Squarespace if…

  • You want a good-looking site this week, from a template
  • You need a store, bookings or email in the same subscription
  • You will build and edit it yourself
  • Custom design is not a priority

The honest verdict

Squarespace is the better buy for a small business that wants a tidy site, a few products or bookings, and no designer. Webflow is the better buy when the site is part of how you win business and has to look and be structured like you, not like a template.

If you are torn, look at content. A site that will grow into many structured pages fits Webflow's CMS; a site that will stay at a handful of pages fits Squarespace. I build custom sites, so if you need one, I usually suggest Framer or Webflow over a template.

Leaving Squarespace? Squarespace to Framer shows what exports and what is rebuilt.
