Quick answer
Wix is the all-in-one choice for small businesses: drag-and-drop editing with payments, bookings and a store from $29 a month billed yearly. Webflow gives designers precise control and a stronger CMS, $25 a month for a CMS site billed yearly. Choose Wix to do it yourself with business apps; choose Webflow for a custom, content-rich site.
Wix and Webflow are both no-code builders, but they serve different people. Wix is drag-and-drop with thousands of templates and business apps for payments, bookings and stores. Webflow works like a design tool, with precise layout control and a CMS that structures content however you need.
When I checked, Wix was $17 a month on Light, $29 on Core, $39 on Business and $159 on Business Elite, billed yearly in the US, with prices varying by location (28 October 2026). Webflow was $15 on Basic without a CMS and $25 on Premium with it, billed yearly (29 October 2026).
| Dimension | ||

| Getting your site out | CMS collections export as CSV | Wix says sites cannot be transferred; CMS exports as CSV |
| Best for | Custom marketing and content sites | Small businesses doing it themselves |
Choose Webflow if…
- You want a custom design built by a designer
- The content needs structure and will grow
- You want precise control over SEO and redirects
- You might move platforms one day and want your content portable
Choose Wix if…
- You will build the site yourself
- You need bookings, payments or a store in one subscription
- Templates and drag-and-drop are enough
- You want the most approachable editor
The honest verdict
Wix is the better fit when you are building it yourself and need business apps like bookings and payments in the same place. Webflow is the better fit when a designer builds the site and the content has to be structured and grow.
One practical point: Wix says its sites cannot be transferred to other platforms, so leaving later means a rebuild. Webflow's CMS exports as CSV, so your content at least comes with you. Plan for the platform you will want in three years, not only this month.
Leaving Wix? Wix to Framer explains the rebuild and the redirects.
Common questions
Webflow vs Wix, answered
For custom design and structured content, yes. Wix is better for beginners who want to build it themselves with bookings, payments or a store built in.
For a CMS site, Webflow Premium was $25 a month billed yearly (29 October 2026). Wix was $17 on Light and $29 on Core, the plan that adds payments and eCommerce, billed yearly in the US (28 October 2026).
Only as a rebuild. Wix says its sites cannot be transferred to other platforms. CMS collections export as CSV, pages are rebuilt, and every old URL needs a permanent redirect.
Both cover the basics. Webflow offers finer control over structure, markup and redirects; Wix has guided SEO tools that suit beginners.
Wix. Webflow takes longer to learn because it works like a design tool.
