Either Google has not indexed the site, something is blocking it, or the pages do not match what people actually search for. Search site:yourdomain.com on Google and open Google Search Console; those two checks tell you which of the three it is in a few minutes.
Check 1: is it indexed at all?
Search Google for site:yourdomain.com. If nothing comes back, Google has not indexed you. Add the site to Google Search Console, submit your sitemap and request indexing for the home page. A brand new domain can take days to a few weeks.
Check 2: is something blocking it?
Search Console's page indexing report names most of these for you.
- A noindex tag left on from when the site was being built
- robots.txt blocking the whole site
- Pages that only render with JavaScript and show Google an empty page
- Every page pointing its canonical tag at the home page
Check 3: does anything match a real search?
This is the most common one. A home page that says "We craft digital experiences" matches nobody's search. People search for the service and the place: "dentist in Austin open Saturday", "Framer developer for SaaS".
Each service you sell needs its own page that answers the question someone types, in their words. The same pages are what AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Perplexity read and quote.

When this is not the right fit
If you need customers this week, search is the slow channel; pair it with something direct (referrals, ads, outreach) while the pages grow.
