Shaheer MalikAnswer
Designer and developer. I design and build these projects myself.
Contra's guide puts fixed logo projects at $500 to $5,000, and Clutch says most branding projects it reviews cost $10,000 to $49,999. I quote a brand identity as one fixed price within 24 hours of a brief, and because I also build websites, the brand can go live on a $1,999 site in 14 days.
Why the range is so wide
A logo alone is a mark. A brand identity is the system around it: colour, type, how it behaves on a website, a pitch deck, a product screen and a social post. Most of the cost is the system and the thinking behind it, not the drawing.
The other big driver is research. An agency engagement with positioning work, workshops and naming sits at the top of the range; a founder who already knows the position and needs it made visible sits near the bottom.
What a brand identity should include
If a quote does not say which of these you get, ask before you pay.
- A logo and a mark, in files you own
- A colour and type system, with contrast checked for accessibility
- Brand guidelines: how to use all of it
- A social and collateral kit, so the first posts and documents match
How I price it
Send the brief (what the business does, who it is for, two or three brands you like and why) and you get a fixed quote within 24 hours. No hourly billing, so the number does not grow while we work.
- Logo projects (market)
- $500 to $5,000, per Contra
- Branding projects (market)
- $10,000 to $49,999, per Clutch
- Mine
- Fixed quote within 24 hours
- Brand live on a site
- $1,999 in 14 days
When this is not the right fit
If you are pre-launch and testing an idea, a clean wordmark and one typeface are enough; spend the money on the product and come back to the brand once people pay.
