Vercel and Framer: how to connect them

A Framer marketing site and an app on Vercel can share a brand three ways: a subdomain for each, Framer's Multi Site rewrites serving the app at a path, or a reverse proxy on Vercel with Framer as the origin. The single-domain options need Framer Pro with Advanced Hosting, or Enterprise.

Quick answer: A Framer marketing site and an app on Vercel can share a brand three ways: a subdomain for each, Framer's Multi Site rewrites serving the app at a path, or a reverse proxy on Vercel with Framer as the origin. The single-domain options need Framer Pro with Advanced Hosting, or Enterprise.

How to connect Vercel to Framer

  1. Simplest: put the app on app.example.com and the Framer site on the main domain
  2. One domain, Framer in front: add a Multi Site rewrite in Framer that serves the Vercel app at a path such as /app
  3. One domain, Vercel in front: add rewrites on Vercel that proxy marketing paths to the Framer site
  4. Test every path and set the canonical URL
