Quick answer: I design and build in Next.js at fixed prices: a custom-coded website for $1,999 in 14 days, a web app from $1,999 in 21 days, and a SaaS MVP from $2,500 in 30 days on Next.js and React with a managed database and Stripe. Design and code are done by the same person, and the source code is yours at handover.
What I build with Next.js
- Custom-coded marketing sites. For sites that share components or data with your product, need custom logic, or should not depend on a builder.
- Web apps and internal tools. Logins, roles, a real database, the views and exports people asked for.
- SaaS MVPs. One workflow people would pay for, with auth, billing through Stripe and a managed database.
- Prototypes made production-ready. Apps started in Lovable, Bolt, v0, Cursor or Claude Code, secured, tested and made deployable.
This site is one of them: it is built with Next.js 16 and React 19 and published as a static export on Cloudflare Pages.
Fixed prices, written schedules
| Sprint | Price | Time |
|---|---|---|
| Website in 14 days | $1,999 | 14 days |
| Web app in 21 days | from $1,999 | 21 days |
| SaaS MVP in 30 days | from $2,500 | 30 days |
| Vibe-coded prototype to production | from $1,999 | 21 days |
Each price is agreed in writing before work starts. If the build takes longer than I estimated, that is mine to absorb. Why I work this way is on no hourly rates.
What the website sprint includes
- Custom design, no templates, no theme with your colours
- Every page designed, not just the homepage
- Custom-coded and genuinely fast on a phone
- SEO fundamentals: structure, meta, schema, sitemap
- A CMS if you need to edit it yourself
- Live on your domain with analytics connected
- Source code and design files yours at handover
- 30 days of post-launch support, included
And the 14 days, written down before you commit:
- Days 1 to 2: Brief and structure. What the site has to prove, to whom, and in what order. Sitemap and page structure agreed before any visual work.
- Days 3 to 7: Design. Every page designed and reviewed. You see the homepage within about three days, so direction gets settled early.
- Days 8 to 12: Build. Custom-coded, responsive, fast. A staging URL goes up early so you review the real thing rather than a picture of it.
- Days 13 to 14: Launch. Performance and SEO checks, domain connected, analytics on, and live.
What a web app sprint includes
- Product design for the whole tool, not just the main screen
- Login, roles and permissions appropriate to who uses it
- A real database with import from whatever you use now
- The views, filters and exports people actually asked for
- Deployed on your domain or inside your infrastructure
- Responsive, so it works on the phone as well as the desk
- Source code and design files yours at handover
- 30 days of post-launch support, included
SaaS MVPs are built on Next.js and React, with a managed database and Stripe for billing: well-supported choices, so any developer can pick the code up after me.
Next.js in late 2026
- Current release. Next.js 16.4 shipped on 6 October 2026.
- Security releases. Since July 2026 Next.js has a formal security release process: scheduled releases (the next was announced for 3 November 2026) plus out-of-band updates when an issue is urgent.
- Hosting beyond Vercel. Next.js 16.2, in March 2026, made the Adapter API stable, for more consistent deployment across platforms.

Hosting and running costs
| Option | Cost | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Vercel Hobby | Free | For personal, non-commercial use only |
| Vercel Pro | $20 a month per developer seat | The usual choice for a business on Vercel |
| Cloudflare Pages | Free plan available | 500 builds a month on the Free plan; this site runs there |
| Database, email, payments | Billed by each service | Priced by each provider, on your accounts |

Next.js or a website builder?
The deciding question is who changes the site next month. If it is a marketer, a builder such as Framer saves a developer on every edit, and my Framer website sprint is the same $1,999. If the site has logins, data, custom logic or shares code with your product, Next.js is the better foundation. Framer vs Next.js and Webflow vs Next.js go through it in detail.
Keeping a Next.js app healthy
- Apply security releases. Next.js now publishes them on a schedule. Someone has to update the app and redeploy when they land.
- Keep dependencies current. Packages age; updating little and often is cheaper than a big jump once a year.
- Watch the bills. Hosting, database, email and payment fees are billed by those services, on your accounts.
Each of these sprints includes 30 days of support after launch. After that, changes are priced per piece of work, or the monthly partnership at $2,500 a month covers ongoing updates and new work, paused whenever it goes quiet.
When Next.js is the wrong choice
- A marketing site your team edits every week and that has no logic: use a builder.
- A native mobile app: that is React Native on the 30-day mobile sprint, $2,500.
- A site nobody will maintain: code needs updates; a hosted builder updates itself.
Next.js development questions
How much does Next.js development cost?
On my fixed-price sprints: a custom-coded website for $1,999 in 14 days, a web app from $1,999 in 21 days, and a SaaS MVP from $2,500 in 30 days. The price is agreed before work starts and does not move if the work takes longer.
Should my website be built in Next.js or Framer?
If your marketing team will edit it and it has no logins or data, Framer is usually better because nobody needs a developer for changes. If the site shares logic with your product, needs custom features or must run on your own infrastructure, Next.js is the better foundation.
Where will my Next.js app be hosted?
On your own accounts. Vercel's Hobby plan is free for personal, non-commercial use and Pro was $20 per developer seat a month on 29 October 2026; Cloudflare's Free plan includes 500 builds a month. Static sites can be hosted almost anywhere.
Who owns the code?
You do. Source code and design files are yours at handover, and the infrastructure runs on your accounts, so any developer can pick it up after me.
Do you maintain Next.js apps after launch?
Each of these sprints includes 30 days of support after launch. After that, changes are priced per piece of work, or ongoing work and updates fit the $2,500 monthly partnership, which you can pause or cancel monthly.
Can you take over a Next.js app someone else built?
Usually, yes. I read the code first and tell you what state it is in. Prototypes built with AI tools fit the vibe-coded prototype to production sprint, from $1,999.
Can you build a mobile app as well?
Yes, but not in Next.js. iOS and Android apps are built from one React Native codebase on the 30-day mobile sprint for $2,500.
