Salesforce and Framer: how to connect them

Framer forms can send submissions to any webhook as JSON in an HTTP POST. To create leads in Salesforce, point the webhook at an automation tool such as Zapier or Make and map the fields to a Salesforce lead. I did not find a Salesforce article in Framer's help centre.

Quick answer: Framer forms can send submissions to any webhook as JSON in an HTTP POST. To create leads in Salesforce, point the webhook at an automation tool such as Zapier or Make and map the fields to a Salesforce lead. I did not find a Salesforce article in Framer's help centre.

How to connect Salesforce to Framer

  1. Create a scenario or zap that starts with a webhook and creates a Salesforce lead
  2. Copy its webhook URL, which must start with https://
  3. In Framer, select the form, choose Add next to Send To, and pick Webhook
  4. Paste the URL, publish, and submit a test
  5. Map the form fields to Salesforce lead fields in the automation tool

Good to know

What Framer sends to a webhook

When a form's destination is a webhook, Framer sends the submission straight away as JSON in an HTTP POST request to the URL you enter, which must start with https://. Framer's help names four common uses: sending submissions to your own server, connecting third-party services, triggering automation tools such as Zapier, and saving form data to a database. Hidden fields can carry tracking details, such as the campaign a visitor came from, along with the answers.
